How to care for your leather goods

1. How to clean the leather goods

Cleaning your leather accessories should be done first! You can use a slightly wet cloth dipped in water with soap and gently wipe the surface of your bag. For a deeper clean, we suggest using a special cleaner, that will help preserve the natural lubricating oils instead of stripping them.

Attention! In no case should you use ordinary washing powder or any other specialized household chemicals! Before applying anything to your leather item, be sure to test in a hidden area to ensure the cleaner is compatible with the leather.

2. How to condition the leather goods

Our products are made from vegetable-tanned leather, which will develop reach patina with a time of use. Full-grain leather during normal use, it can be scratched. You can get rid of scratches, by wiping the product with a soft, clean, damp cloth or with a leather conditioner.

Conditioner should enrich your leather item color and give it a soft, supple texture. As it will absorb, the fibers of your leather will strengthen and repair, making it stay good-looking for a longer time.

It's recommended to use the leather cleaner and conditioner every 1-3 months to clean and moisten leather to make it last longer.

Protect your top-grain and full-grain vegetable-tanned leather goods with our Leather Waterproof Balm, specially designed to keep leather soft, supple, and resistant to water and stains. Our high-quality balm is made in Italy with carefully selected ingredients to offer superior protection to your leather items.

Attention! Please note that it’s important before using any care product to try it on a small district of leather, as any leather conditioner, may darken leather.

DON'T USE CHEMICALS OR SADDLE CLEANER.

The main recommendation for all care products you use is natural base components, like natural oils or beeswax.

Chemical cleaners and conditioners can damage the surface of your leather, causing more harm than good. The composition of special cleaning agents should not contain acetone impurities, abrasive particles, and solvents.

DON'T EXPOSE TO HEAT OR DAMP

Please note that the leather we use to make our goods doesn't have waterproof qualities. You should use waterproof care products if you expect that the item will get wet.

Avoid contacting your leather goods with water for a longer period. If you do get caught in the rain, gently wipe away any drops of water and let the leather dry naturally. Do not place your leather goods next to a radiator or attempt to dry it with a hair dryer. This will deform the item.
